Voter Contact Tool

Tool Privacy Policy

The Voter Contact Tool helps candidates organize outreach using the DC voter file — the public list of registered voters DCBOE provides to candidates. This policy covers that data. It's separate from the main Queering ANCs Privacy Policy.

1 · Your data is yours

When you upload your DCBOE voter file, that list belongs to you. It's private to you and the canvassers you invite. No other candidate or the public or our staff can see it.

2 · We don't use it

Capital Stonewall Democrats does not read or use or sell your voter data. We never aggregate it or contact anyone in it. We built the tool; we don't touch the contents — now or in the future.

3 · What we store

Your list lives in the tool so you and your canvassers can work from it. It stays until you delete it (one click, permanent) — or until we remove abandoned lists in routine cleanup.

4 · Where it comes from

The DC voter file is public record, provided by DCBOE to candidates under DC election law. This tool just helps you act on a list you already lawfully hold.

5 · Voters

Any voter can ask to be removed from a candidate's list by contacting us, and we'll remove their record. Write [email protected].

6 · Security

Lists are access-controlled to you and your invited canvassers. They're encrypted at rest and protected against bulk export.

Using the tool? Open the Voter Contact Tool. It's optional and offered to candidates in contested races — available, not promoted.
